Kibera Kenya 2011

Kibera is a district just southwest of Nairobi. At over one million residents, it is one of the largest slums in the world. It is a massive sea of tin roofs with shared walls connected by winding alleys. We anticipate that nearly all of these residents will be impacted by the MEGA FEST. We join with our Lord who said, "I preach good news to the poor". The Spirit of God has ushered in an unprecedented move of unity among the churches in Kibera for the MEGA FEST. A leading Bishop is quoted as saying "I have never seen the churches of Kibera united in this way. I myself was not a part of this Festival until God revealed to me in prayer that I should join Dana Morey and aLn in this great cause." Corey McNamara, aLn Director of International Evangelism, was on the ground living in Kibera for three months planning for this historic event. "God's sovereign hands have been all over this event from the beginning. God is working through ALN and the local church leaders to change a slum, a city, a nation, and a continent. We're giving all the glory to God!"
